Spirituality; Does Healing Really Help?

Author: Nick Arrizza, M.D.

When was the last time you went to a healer? Under that definition I would also include your healthcare practitioner because they too are involved in the same mind set.

What mind set is that you ask?

Well it is the mind set that you can only get better if you accept their prescription for health, whatever that may be.

So my question to you is this: How do you feel knowing that you need someone else to tell you what is wrong with your mind/body and then imply that you do not have sufficient control over its healthy functioning?

I know this question may sound a bit odd to you because you may be in the habit of giving responsibility for your mind/body to others around you. I would even guess that the thought of taking full responsibility for it might feel like a daunting task that you would rather not undertake.

Yes, some might "think" that it is better to give that responsibility to someone else.

My question is then: What is the consequence to you of giving up this responsibility?

Well lets look at it.

Doesn't it make you feel dependent, vulnerable, out of control of your mind/body, anxious, stressed, unsure if others are acting in your best interests, unsure whether others really know what is good for you, helpless, like a victim, and trapped in a "vehicle" without the owners manual to name a few.

You see all of this is undermining your health isn't it?

So what does it mean to take responsibility for one's mind/body?

Well not what you "think"!

Did you know for instance that there is already a Divine Field of Energy that is You in and around You that already knows everything about how your mind/body is supposed to function?

Did you know all you have to do is to begin to recognize this and allow it to be in charge of your mind/body for it to function properly?

Did you know that this field of energy is activated when you are being honest with yourself and fails to function when you are being dishonest with yourself about who you are and what you are capable of?

When activated it works spontaneously and automatically without any other effort required from you.

So here's what it means to be responsible for one's mind/body. It means being "honest" about who you are and what you are capable of.

That is you are a Divine Being and you have immense creative potential.

Yes, I know that that likely challenges your beliefs about yourself. Therein lies the problem: the sum total of all the beliefs that youve acquired throughout your life that are lying to you about who you are.

Notice however whether somewhere deep inside the statement about your Divinity resonates at some deep level. If so, notice where that resonance resides within you and sit with it for a moment. Visualize what ever it looks like to you. See it expand and grow until it fills your entire being.

Do you like how this feels?

If you read my other articles here in this ezine you will find ways to help you reconnect to this personal honesty, reclaim full control of your life and allow your Divine Self to shine through.
