Where Will You Be Hunting Next Fall?

Author: Luke Perry

Deer hunters, like deer, are creatures of habit. They have their favorite gun, their favorite boots and their favorite hunting spots. And while nothing beats being out in the woods in search of that trophy buck, planning for the coming hunting season has to suffice during the summer months.

Summer is the perfect time to get your hunting gear in order. If you've ever considered adding a tower blind for the decided 'edge' it provides, THE DEER TOWER Hunting Blind System could be just what you've been looking for.

Manufactured by Wildlife Strategies, THE DEER TOWER hunting blind and stand system gives hunters choice and flexibility. The basic component is a 4-foot by 4-foot shooting house that works best on its 10-foot stand to deliver desired elevation, enhanced viewing and concealment. But it can also be used with its 5-foot stand or as simply a ground blind. The package comes complete and ready-to-assemble with pre-cut housing panels and a plywood deck. A 4-foot by 6-foot model is also available.

THE DEER TOWER uses frame technology developed by parent company VersaTube Building Systems, a long-time leader in durable, innovative steel construction products. 'We wanted to bring a sturdy, affordable tower blind to fellow hunters,' says company co-owner and president Tim Soder. 'We're hunters, we talked with hunters, and we developed a product that offers choices and is easy to transport and assemble. And we've included all the extras hunters told us they wanted, like integrated shooting rails, hinged drop-down windows, corner shelves and more.'

The system comes as a compact package of 'Slip-Fit' frame components and kit materials so you can easily haul it to any hunting location for quick assembly. The stand is constructed of sturdy structural steel tubing and includes a premium anchoring system. The tower blind is designed to stay up year round, but can be moved.

The 4x4 shooting house is perfect for one to two hunters, while the 4x6 version can hold up to three peopleboth allowing family members and friends to enjoy hunting together. And with 6 1/2 feet of headroom, even the tallest hunter will be comfortable.

And the price is comfortable, too. 'We wanted to create a complete tower blind package that virtually any hunter could afford,' says Soder. 'With a retail price of around $800, THE DEER TOWER is a great product for a great price.'
