What to Look for in a Las Vegas Hotel

Author: Jack Reider

Las Vegas has transformed itself from the Adult Playground it used to be to the family fun spot it is today. Now Las Vegas has something fun for every member of the family. To guarantee that you and your family have a vacation that you will remember in a positive way for the rest or your lives, it is important to plan out what it is you want to do. Then you can use that plan to locate the best hotel for your needs and desires.

1) The location of the hotel is important. The location of the hotel will determine the price of the hotel, a hotel on the strip will be more expensive then a hotel a block or two off the strip. If most of the activities you have planed are on end of the Las Vegas Strip then stay on that end. It will cut down on your traveling time and give you more enjoying time.

2) Remember your needs and the needs of your family are more important then your comfort, sure everyone wants to live it up on vacation, but no one wants to spend all their money on the hotel and have no money to do anything. Dont just look for a hotel in your price range, make sure the hotel offers activities or is near things for your kids to do, like a playground, or if you have teenage kids, they might not want to hang out with their parents, because thats not cool. So find a hotel that offers activities that will be interesting for your kids and that you approve of them taking place in.

3) Many of the Las Vegas Hotels will offer discounts on rooms or on local attractions for you and the family to enjoy in return for staying with them. You may wind up paying more for your room but saving more on your activities.

4) Some of the hotel and casinos will give you free complementary gifts like tickets to a show or free meals if you stay in their hotel and play in their casino. Sometimes these gifts can add up to quite a bit of savings.

5) Online reviews are a great way to really find out what a casino offers and how you can expect to be treated as a guest. When reading these reviews that can be found on any good ofline and online casino portal. dont be overly concerned if you find one or two postings from people who did not like it, if the majority of the people enjoyed or disliked a certain place chances are so will you.

6) If gambling and amusement parks are not your thing, maybe you will be interested in the excitement of the Nevada Desert. Jeep trips, hikes and overnight excursions into the desert are available, if this is what you are looking for you may want to choose a hotel on the edge of town and not in the center, this will leave you closer to the things you want to do, and these hotels offer breath-taking views of the desert.

7) Las Vegas is a large and busy city, if you are not looking to do any gambling, if you are just looking to see the local sites, you may want to stay at a hotel outside the city limits. These hotels are much less expensive and are less crowded.

8) If gambling is on your agenda, but you can not afford one of the strip hotels, do not worry in any direction there are plenty of less expensive hotels that are less then a 10 minute drive from the casinos and all the casinos offer free parking for those who are going play in their casino.

If you keep these things in mind when booking your hotel you will be helping to make good memories that you and your entire family will enjoy for years to come.
